Université Antonine (UA / Antonine University)

Faculty

UA offers 25 undergraduate programs across 7 faculties.

Three campuses: Hadat-Baabda (Mount Lebanon, main — 63,500 m²), Nabi Ayla-Zahle in the Bekaa, and Mejdlaya-Zgharta in North Lebanon.

Most programs run trilingual sections — English, French, and Arabic — on an ECTS-aligned credit system. UA has held Swiss AAQ accreditation since 2017.

Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FoE)

UA Engineering runs the Bachelor of Engineering (BE) as a 5-year / 156-credit Diplôme d'Ingénieur (the four CCE tracks share a common core and split in later years). The Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science is a separate 3-year / 96-credit program.

UA runs 6 admission sessions for Fall 2026-27 (Early, four Regular, and two Late) plus 2 sessions for Spring 2026 (Regular and Late). Each session pairs a placement-exam date with a results date. The application portal is at apply.ua.edu.lb.

University-offered scholarships

56% of UA students benefit from financial support. UA discounts are awarded on the basis of Lebanese Baccalaureate average and family status, with separate sport scholarships.

Sport grants

Eligibility: holding a Lebanese record, being a first/second-division player and a member of any UA team sport, being engaged in individual sports, being a current Lebanese champion, or holding an international title. Coverage varies.

Requirements

SAT

UA accepts SAT as a substitute for placement exams in eligible programs. SAT-based exemptions by program type:

Per Lebanese MEHE thresholds, freshman applicants need a minimum SAT of 870 (Arts) or 950 (Sciences) to enroll directly into sophomore-year programs.

High-school grades

UA admits via three pathways:

  • Admission on file — applicants with strong high-school grades in the relevant subjects (e.g., 12/20 or above in Mathematics for business programs) may be exempted from placement exams.
  • Admission on title — applicants with the Lebanese Baccalaureate or equivalent (overall ≥14/20 with ≥12/20 in the program-relevant subject) qualify directly.
  • Transfer admission — students with credited courses at another higher-education institution, validated by the Office of Orientation and Admissions and the department's Transfer Committee.

Recognized secondary credentials include the Lebanese Baccalaureate, French Bac, IB, German Abitur, and equivalents recognized by the Lebanese Ministry of Education.

Language proficiency

UA is trilingual (English, French, Arabic). Most programs offer both English and French sections, requiring proficiency in the section's language of instruction.

Applicants without these scores take the UA placement test in the relevant language. UA offers on-campus IELTS testing through its partnership.
